Abstract Submission

Academy of Family Physicians: Karnataka Chapter is pleased to host the 4th National Conference on Family Medicine and Primary Care which is going to be held from 2nd to 4th of August 2019 at Bangalore, Karnataka. The main theme of the conference is "Technology & Innovations for better Primary Care Delivery". We invite abstracts from Primary care physicians, Physicians from other specialties with interest in Family Medicine and Primary Care, health care start-ups, Healthcare Technology experts, NGO’s in public health, paramedics as well as medical students. Oral Papers, Poster presentations, Demos and Workshops

We invite abstracts from primary care physicians, doctors from other specialities who have an interest in primary care, health care start ups, healthcare technology experts, public health specialists, undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES

Besides providing adequate space for the core clinical content and skills of primary care, our conference additionally aims to:

1. Share primary care practice innovations, which improve access, quality, coordination of care, and outcomes

Guidelines for abstract submission:

Abstract Submission Deadline: 10th July 2019
Oral Papers, Poster presentations and Workshops

  • Registration to the conference is mandatory for submission of abstract. Kindly quote your conference registration number while submitting.
  • Submitted abstracts must be original. Abstracts previously published or presented at international or national scientific meets cannot be submitted.
  • Each delegate can present up to 3 activities although he/she might be a co -author in more than three.
  • The abstract title should have no more than 30 words.
  • The maximum length of the body of the abstract for an oral presentation, poster presentation and workshop are 250 words. Tables and/or pictures are not accepted as part of the abstract.

  • Abstracts for both e posters and physical posters are accepted. All submissions will be reviewed by the scientific committee and you will be notified by 15th July 2019.
  • Accepted abstracts will be categorised into any of the major themes of FMPC 2019 as given below and you will be notified regarding the same.
  • All participants will be intimated regarding specific timings and rules of display of posters, oral presentations, demos and workshops by 15th July 2019.
  • Fill in the submitting author's name and e-mail address properly - these contact details will serve for further correspondence with the author(s).

For example: if you have an abstract related to the management of diabetes where you used a technology tool for better outcomes you can submit it under theme of technology in primary care. If it highlights a measure to improve community health care or rural community you can submit it under theme of Universal Healthcare and so on.

Submitted abstracts must be original. Abstracts previously published or presented at an international or National Scientific meeting cannot be submitted
